OVERVIEW

The summer school at ISS this year is bigger and better than ever. In addition to our ever popular ESL and fun learning summer courses we will be offering additional language, cultural, academic and outdoor adventure courses.

There are 5 ESL summer school classes on offer, with each class based on age and language proficiency. Students will be assessed on the first day of the course to see if they are accurately placed.

The Pre and Mid IB Diploma summer school is designed to aid students in preparation for both years of the IB Diploma. The program includes several subject specific courses as well as an essential skills course showing what is required for a good IB student, there is even a course for parents to find out more about the IB Diploma.

New to the summer school this year are the Language and Cultural courses. We are offering beginners courses in Mandarin and Bahasa as well as an introduction to the Chinese martial art of Wu Shu. These all promise to be popular courses, so early booking is advised.

For the young ones we are pleased to offer the FUN LEARNING SUMMER playgroup. Using science and storytelling the children will be engaged in a variety of fun-filled, hands-on activities that will help develop self confidence, independence, social skills etc.

Finally, for the more active student we are pleased to offer, in conjunction with ASIAN DETOURS, 4 Outdoor Adventure Learning programs that promise to be action packed and an experience not to be missed.

We have designed 1/2 Day Programs with Weekends for students who are already taking the classroom courses of the summer school and want to supplement their summer with adventure learning at the same time AND also Full Day programs for students who wish to have a full on-Adventure.
